10 WWE Wrestlers Who Will Be Top Stars By The End Of 2020
2. Lacey Evans
WWE is seemingly determined to build to a Bayley/Sasha Banks rivalry fans have seen coming from a mile off, but did that really need to involve the SmackDown Women's Championship? Yes and no, but there's no denying that the company dropped the ball massively by failing to put the title on Lacey Evans at WrestleMania last month.
Despite being introduced as a heel, her sudden transformation to a babyface worked surprisingly well, and given her military background, the vast majority of fans didn't struggle to support her. Unfortunately, that momentum has mostly been lost, but Evans can still be salvaged.
Let Banks and Bayley build to SummerSlam, but once that's passed, the title should be put on Evans for her to really shine as a patriotic Superstar who can essentially get that same level of support John Cena (or possibly even Hulk Hogan) once did. For this to happen, Evans needs some strong wins and good storylines - rather than treading water - but she clearly has the right looks and skills to shine in WWE.
