Tom Zenk was the wrestling internet before the wrestling internet was cool...or whatever it is the wrestling internet is now, anyway.

With no interest from either WWE or WCW following acrimonious exits from both, Zenk turned his talents to blogging some of his thoughts on the industry with takes rooted in the moderate success he'd found in the majors. Or, moderate until examining the figures.

The Can-Am Connection were rapidly erased from WWE canon following Vince McMahon's decision to effectively rebadge the gimmick as Strike Force with Tito Santana in Zenk's place, but the future 'Z-Man' and partner Rick Martel were clearly headed for big things before he did.

Zenk's 31 matches reflects a figure in keeping with his relatively short tenure with the organisation, and a push that would have certainly lead him to doubles gold in 1987. A dynamic WrestleMania III opener is all that remains of his WWE pay-per-view career, but it's as good as any - the 93,173 (or thereabouts...) in attendance were in awe of the athleticism of a pair with bodies built more for the last match than the first.
