10 Youngest Wrestlers To Ever Compete At WWE SummerSlam
4. Jeff Hardy
SummerSlam 1999 features a little piece of hidden wrestling history. On the card is a Tag Team Turmoil match to crown the number one contenders to the World Tag Team Championships. The first team out were Edge and Christian who had just left The Brood. Out second was the team known as The New Brood, but we know them better today as Matt and Jeff Hardy.
The Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian actually met on pay-per-view two months before their iconic ladder match at No Mercy. Their interaction didn't last long as E&C beat The New Brood fairly quickly, but it's fascinating to see these two legendary teams in their embryonic states. This is especially true of Jeff Hardy.
Jeff's 22nd birthday was nine days away when he competed at SummerSlam 1999 and he was throwing himself around with the reckless abandon of... well, Jeff Hardy 22 years later. In his brain, Jeff has always been 21.
In all seriousness, Jeff was almost the finished product in 1999 and he only got better with time. Some people are just born to be pro wrestlers and Jeff Hardy is one of those people.
