100 Greatest WWE Royal Rumble Moments Ever
75. Kane Decimates Sabu (2007)
If you’re only ever going to be in one Royal Rumble match, aren’t winning it, know you’re not going to amass any eliminations, and likely will only be given a few minutes, you at least want to have a memorable exit.
Case in point, Sabu in 2007.
Here, the Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying Maniac of ECW scored zero eliminations and lasted barely five minutes, but people still talk about his elimination to this very day.
Like many a Royal Rumble elimination, this one came at the hands of Kane. After dumping out another ECW icon in the form of Tommy Dreamer, the Big Red Machine turned his attention to Sabu. Unlike Dreamer, though, Sabu actually put up a little bit of a fight before ultimately finding himself on the ring apron… just where a conveniently placed table was positioned.
The reaction from San Antonio’s AT&T Center was a loud one, as Sabu wound up sprawled out through a rubble of wood and metal courtesy of a Kane chokeslam in one of the more memorable eliminations in Royal Rumble history.
