For the longest time, it appeared that a return to WWE in any sort of capacity was completely out of the question for Jeff Jarrett. This was the same man whose exit from the then-WWF in 1999 was a controversial one, somebody who Vince McMahon publicly dumped on after the purchase of WCW, and someone whose time with TNA involved plentiful shots at the market leader.

As the saying goes, never say never in the wrestling business.

In the case of Double J, a shock but extremely warranted WWE Hall of Fame induction came in 2018, followed by being hired as a producer. And to top it off for fans of the third-generation star, the 2019 Royal Rumble saw Jeff Jarrett compete in a WWE ring for the first time in nearly 23 years.

Perfectly lined up, Elias was #1 in that year's men's Rumble, starting things off with one of his patented concerts. At #2, Jarrett's old theme music hit and the veteran strutted his way out in an extremely familiar get-up.

Of course, Jeff would be eliminated by the time Shinsuke Nakamura entered at #3, but the Chosen One got a nice amount of mic time to interact with Elias and a Chase Field crowd that certainly thought J-E-Double F, J-A-Double R-E-Double-T was indeed pretty darn great.
