Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker have had a storied rivalry since the late ‘90s, but with their WrestleMania matches they put on a fantastic story and gave fans two bouts that have been labelled as two of the greatest matches of all-time. The pair had a natural chemistry as Michaels’ smooth and flawless style meshed perfectly with ‘Taker’s dominant ‘big man’ attack.

By 2009, though, you had the ego of Shawn and his Mr. WrestleMania tag wanting to do what no other person could do: he wanted The Undertaker’s famed streak.

Unfortunately for HBK, not even God and all the forgiveness in the world could help him topple ‘Taker… not once, but twice. But whilst Shawn lost out (and even eventually lost his career), fans were treated to two of the most memorable and jaw-dropping matches that the wrestling world has ever seen.

Even in retirement Michaels couldn’t keep himself out of Undertaker’s business, with him being part of another fantastic ‘Mania match in which he was the special referee as The Phenom managed to defeat Triple H inside the Hell in a Cella at WrestleMania XXVIII.
