Still, there's signs of improvement, and if some of the following rumours are to be believed, business is definitely about to pick up. 11. AJ Styles Signing To NXT?
A rumour going around this week, is that AJ Styles and WWE have had some sort of communication recently. It is believed that this is regarding a role on NXT. However, AJ's colleagues in New Japan Pro Wrestling believe the rumours are just speculation. The fact is that he is one of the biggest indie names out there, meaning he is able to charge significant premiums for his bookings. Throw in the fact that he can manage his own schedule and be on the road a lot less, and you can see why he'd be reluctant to join WWE. He's making more money, for less dates. Therefore this rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt. I wouldn't doubt WWE are interested in him for NXT, but I would doubt if he'd be willing to go there. A heavier work-load for less money can't be attractive to the 38 year old.
