11 Early Predictions For WWE SummerSlam 2017

11. WWE Cruiserweight Championship - Six-Pack Challenge

Despite consistently booking five-man number one contender's matches, WWE has so far resisted the temptation to book a messy multi-man Cruiserweight Championship bout. This has show impressive restraint, but it won't last forever - a six-pack challenge can't be too far around the corner.

Neville should still be in charge of the Cruiserweight division by August, although Austin Aries will continue to run him close over the next few months. SummerSlam 2017 could see Neville defend his championship against five other men, and WWE's theoretical task for the next four months will be to build up the four other challengers (along with Aries).

Neville, Austin Aries, Jack Gallagher, Rich Swann and Kalisto will secure the first five spots in this alternative timeline. Cedric Alexander is due to return from injury around June, so WWE may well hold off his return until SummerSlam. Alternatively (or maybe that should be preferably), Andrade 'Cien' Almas could join the division at this point.

Should Neville lose the championship in a multi-man match? Absolutely not, but it would not be a surprise. If Almas were to win that could set up a fun program over the winter between the new champion and the deposed King of the Cruiserweights.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
