11 Early Predictions For WWE SummerSlam 2017

8. WWE Intercontinental Championship - Bray Wyatt Vs. Sami Zayn

Just when you think WWE is going to go all the way with Bray Wyatt, WrestleMania 33 happens. Wyatt wasn't just defeated by Randy Orton at The Ultimate Thrill Ride - he was embarrassed. The 'creepy' projections have rightly turned into an internet joke, and all of the work done on making Wyatt a true threat has gone down the toilet. It may take more than a hard reset to fix this mess.

But fix it WWE should, and the process can begin with Bray having a more commanding run with a singles championship. This summer should see The Eater of Worlds win the Intercontinental Championship and thus go on a dominant reign, defending the belt cleanly without the help of worms and maggots.

Most fans have Sami Zayn moving to SmackDown Live in next week's superstar shake up, and Daniel Bryan is likely to give The Underdog from the Underground better opportunities than the Foley-McMahon regime on RAW.

Sami Zayn holding the WWE Intercontinental Championship just feels right - WWE should make it happen at SummerSlam 2017.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
