11 Early Predictions For WWE SummerSlam 2017

Shinsuke Nakamura has finally arrived on the main roster. It is still too early to make an educated guess as to what lies in his future, but his showcase arrival on the blue brand this past Tuesday should fill fans with optimism. WWE has a fairly horrid track record when it comes to booking major Japanese stars.

The King of Strong Style has a chance to buck that trend.

Over the coming months, Nakamura will find himself going up against the heels of SmackDown Live. Matches with Baron Corbin, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler and the rest are inevitable, but it could well be a freshly-turned Lunatic who represents the first major roadblock on Nakamura's main roster road.

Dean Ambrose is well and truly spinning his wheels right now. The Lunatic Fringe may be the Intercontinental Champion, but he is getting dangerously close to water treading in his performances. Ambrose's character has developed little since the dissolution of The Shield. A heel turn could be the difference between a frustrating year and a fantastic one.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dean Ambrose is a showcase match befitting the second biggest pay-per-view of the year.
