For the early years of my professional wrestling fandom, Davey Boy Smith flew the flag for us Brits in the World Wrestling Federation. Across his many stints with the WWF, Bulldog won the World Tag Team Championship on two occasions, once with compatriot the Dynamite Kid in 1986 and then again 10 years later with brother-in-law Owen Hart.

It would be 14 years before the Smiths tasted tag team gold once again (well, bronze by this point), when Bulldog's son David Hart Smith won the titles with Tyson Kidd under the Hart Dynasty name. DH Smith wouldn't get much of a push in the WWE however, and was released in 2011.

He's since gone on to experience great success in Japan, an eventual return to WWE shouldn't be ruled out.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
