CM Punk was not a fan of Stephanie McMahon. When he did his shoot 'pipe bomb' promo in 2011, he got to say his real feelings, describing her as a the "idiotic daughter" who couldn't look after the WWE. That's pretty much what Punk genuinely felt. He was a Paul Heyman guy and shared his mentor's disdain for the billion dollar princess. The years of bad WWE creative he'd suffered needed pinning on somebody, and that somebody was Stephanie. For what it's worth, she hated him right back. Hence why she's took such delight in trolling fans who chant his name at the Chicago WWE shows. She loves to rub it in that he's a "quitter." There's even a pretty good chance that Steph was a factor in Punk's January exit. He'd had enough of various things and we'd imagine that Stephanie was one of them.
