5. Jamie Hayter Vs. Toni Storm - AEW Women's Title Match

Kenny Omega Bryan Danielson
AEW

In the sort of bait and switch that absolutely wouldn't have happened had the men's World champion suffered an injury ahead of a PPV - that title is considered too important to switch in a glorified angle on a weekend night - Toni Storm defeated a legitimately injured Jamie Hayter in a brief match not unlike one of the better WWE Money In The Bank cash-ins: short and tense, with the champion threatening to stave off the inevitable with a couple of acute kick-outs. Storm however won after interference from the Outcasts in a carny development.

The match played out as advertised only in the strictest sense.

Star Rating: ★★½
