6. Kurt Angle - $1.5 Million A Year
Kurt Angle had a one million dollar downside guarantee in WWE, and likely made around $1.5 million per year once his bonuses were factored in. At one point, his merchandise did really strong, and he main evented WrestleMania in 2003. However, injury limited him in most other years, and even in his active years he wasn't always in great pay per view spots. He could have made so much more if WWE really had got behind him as a star, but they restricted him to brief windows of opportunity. He was easily worth every cent WWE ever paid him. He was the best wrestler in the world in 2003, no doubt about that. And he was pretty damn close every other year he was there. The Mania he main evented didn't do record breaking business, but he still more than paid back his worth.
