11 Most Important Wrestlers Of The Ruthless Aggression Era

10. Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero was already an established star in the 1990s, but more as a midcard-level talent. After repeated battles with alcoholism in the late '90s and early '00s, Eddie returned to WWE in 2002 and stormed onto the scene with a great feud with RVD. From there, Latino Heat became a frontrunner on SmackDown as part of the Heyman-booked SmackDown Six, and stole the hearts of the audience with his nephew, Chavo, as part of Los Guerreros.

With Eddie’s charming charisma swaying crowd reactions and turning him into a firm fan favourite, Guerrero went solo and became the man to dethrone Brock as the ever-dominant WWE Champion.

From there, Latino Heat helped establish JBL as a main event heel, he helped Angle back to prominence after injury, and assisted in the main event rise of Batista and Rey Mysterio.

Without the top talents from the Attitude Era around, Guerrero was able to grab the brass rings and wrestled some of the greatest matches from the period. More importantly, Eddie created a character that fans fell in love with, and consistently garnered a reaction from the crowd.

Eddie burned brighter than most during the Ruthless Aggression Era and is still missed to this day
