11 Most Watched WWE Wrestling Matches Ever

9. Hulk Hogan Vs Andre The Giant - WWF Title (WrestleMania 3)

This is one of the most iconic bouts in wrestling history, so most fans have checked it out at least once. However, in terms of replay value, it is hardly a mat classic that fans are rushing to watch second and third times. Still, it is big enough that it has at least interested fans once or twice over the years. That viewership alone is enough to make it one of the most watched matches ever. The mythology of seeing Hogan slam Andre is irresistible. The record attendance in the Silverdome that night tells the story of just how fascinating it was. A lot of the initial reason to re-watch the match was down to the mystery created when Andre landed on top of Hogan after a failed slam. The ref counted 1-2 and then Hogan got his shoulder up but the camera didn't quite pick it up due to the bulk of Andre's body. Conspiracy theorists re-watched that footage countless times with the idea that Hogan was actually pinned.
