6. Heyman To Goldberg: "In Suplex City...You're Next!"

Peruse social media and the various sites on the internet that cover wrestling prominently and you might have noticed a distinct lack of interest in seeing Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar II.

Paul Heyman was given the unenviable task of trying to get people excited about the prospect this past Monday on Raw. Listening to the crowd when he first brought up the possibility of the rematch, you would think the audience to have been a microcosm of the general apathy felt toward Goldberg's return. By the time Heyman was finished, however, you have to wonder if that very same audience was also a microcosm of the fan base's ability to get on board with Lesnar-Goldberg under the right set of circumstances and with the right brand of hype.

It could be argued that Heyman's job has been easy for a while. Selling the fans on Lesnar vs. Orton, Ambrose, Undertaker, and Rollins was no tall task, but on match two of a series that infamously began by stinking the joint out at WrestleMania XX twelve years ago? Different story. Heyman worked his magic, though, and if he can continue delivering short and sweet promos of the sort he delivered on Monday, then there may be hope for Goldberg-Lesnar II yet (at least until the bell rings).
