4. The Miz Continues His Hot Streak At The Expense Of Dolph Ziggler's Moment

With Dolph Ziggler having earned the payoff of winning the Intercontinental Championship at No Mercy, it was expected that he would give a fairly routinely excitable babyface interview at some point on Smackdown and it probably would have been a non-issue if his rivalry with The Miz had taken a downturn in the premier quality it had shown for the previous six weeks. However, Miz would have none of that.

The former champion and his gorgeous wife came to Ziggler's celebration dressed for a funeral - a funeral specifically for the Intercontinental Championship's legacy and relevancy. The Miz unleashed a scathing promo that a novice fan might have at times mistaken as a hero's retort. A similar brand of fire and passion that had dotted Ziggler's character work in the weeks leading to No Mercy was at the forefront of The Miz's response to defeat, as he made it abundantly clear that he was going to get his title back by any means necessary; a few of his lines were especially outstanding.

In a fairly mundane week in terms of interview segments, Miz-Ziggler was virtually unopposed for the week's top honours.
