11 Off-Air WWE Moments You Weren't Supposed To See

8. Hulk Hogan Murders A Promo

Hulk Hogan is one of the very biggest stars in wrestling history: In addition to being amazingly charismatic, he's one of the best promos in wrestling history. That may sound a little strange if you're used to the super cartoonish version of Hogan from the late '80s-on, but at his peak he was as uniquely gifted a talker as any wrestler in the history of the business. He found new life as a promo in 1996 when he turned heel in WCW, though, and also started doing promos in front of live crowds every week.

So it came as a shock that he completely mangled the above promo during his feud with Vince McMahon in 2003. The first half goes well enough, and with it being a SmackDown taping for later airing, he even swears because it be bleeped. All of a sudden, though, he completely loses all control of his tongue, tripping over words like they're banana peels. Most infamously, he talks about being "the right gay" to take the WWF nationally and even declares he's going to repeat himself to get through to McMahon because he has to repeat his lines.

When you consider how gaffe-prone he's been lately and then look at this video, you realize that maybe, just maybe, heavy scripting, Hogan, and live crowds don't mix.
