It isn't just the Mania 32 main event that has been rocked by injury, the card is also hurt by the loss of Randy Orton. He suffered a shoulder injury recently, in addition to finding out that he may need neck surgery. He looks to be out of action until at least next summer, and could also miss Mania 33 if the neck surgery is required. It is bad news for WWE. Randy Orton is still one of the biggest names to the mainstream casual audience, he still performs well in merchandise sales and gets big pops at live events. He would have been one of the most reliable guys to put on a very good midcard match at next year's megashow, just as he did with Seth Rollins at Mania 31. The fact is, the once a year fans who check WWE out around Mania, they know who Orton is, while they have no clue about the likes of Kevin Owens and the newer wrestlers. Losing Orton is a real shame and potentially hurts the mainstream buys.
