This really would be an absolute shocker. The Undertaker hasn't been seen since Brock Lesnar ended the streak at WrestleMania 30. Fans aren't expecting him to show up any time soon, so what a perfect opportunity it'd be for an out of the blue appearance. It'd get us all talking and immediately put some mainstream exposure onto the WWE Network. There's actually quite a few compelling angles for Taker to return with. Building the inevitable Sting vs Undertaker story is one of them. We think there's a pretty good chance of Sting being at SummerSlam, imagine if he was cutting a promo and then Taker's music hit. The Deadman would come out for a face-off, instantly establishing buys for WrestleMania 31 seven months ahead of time. Are there any clues for Taker's return? Well, it's interesting that he's booked for a WWE appearance at Austin Comic Con on October 3rd. Is that just a random autograph showing, or is it connected to an Undertaker TV return being imminent? We'll find out for sure this weekend. What we do know is that WWE are desperate to retain the expiring Network subscriptions, so returns of guys like Undertaker would surely be one of the best strategies they could employ.
