11 Stupidest Wrestling Names Ever

5. Dolph Ziggler

Bad ring names have always existed, and will always continue to exist - but the bad ring names of today are far different from those of the past. In the 80s and 90s, bad wrestling monikers were usually awful for their incredible cheesiness. These days, the worst modern ring names are usually uninspiring, overly-realistic titles - names like Wade Barrett and Luke Harper. If Luke Harper was around in the early 90s he'd be called Moonshine McGee, and the world would be a far better place for it. Dolph Ziggler breaks the mould here. Despite being one of the biggest stars in the modern-day WWE, he has one of the most preposterous ring names in history. Dolph Ziggler naturally sounds like the name of a comedy jobber - not one of the most talented workhorses in the entire company. The ridiculous nature of his name was touched upon during a short feud with John Morrison, which saw JoMo brand him 'Mr. Ziggles'. Had it caught on, it's doubtful he'd still be around today. Sounds Like: A fearsome male porn star, one who probably fits Vince's superstar ideal way more than...wait a minute...
