Despite suspect acting on occasion, the burgeoning love story between Chris Jericho and Trish Stratus in early-2004 had turned 'Y2J' babyface thanks to the equity the the biggest star in the Women's division had built up with audiences.

Beginning life as a skit between heel chums Jericho and Christian months earlier, a real relationship blossomed inadvertently after the cocky Canadians made a $1 bet that they could sleep with Trish or Lita respectively before the other. After details of the wager were divulged, their courtship was briefly derailed, but only Christian jealously stirring the pot threatened their future together after earnest apologies were offered.

Christian spitefully attacking both Trish and Jericho triggered the match between the former friends at WrestleMania XX, but few foresaw the climactic conclusion to the tale. The two were evenly matched until Stratus inadvertently clocked Jericho in the face, allowing Christian to roll up his former best friend for the win.

It was then that Trish revealed the ruse. Bitter at the bet from the very beginning, she viciously snapped her supposed beau with some wild slaps, allowing Christian to flatten him with an Unprettier. The two passionately kissed to the bewilderment of Jericho and the Madison Square Garden crowd, cementing their new relationship.
