During his time in NXT, Tyler Breeze’s gimmick was one of the more over, and believable, facets of the show. From the gear to the entrance, right down to the smaller details like the Zoolander-ish pout, everything about it was bang on point. And for one of those smaller details in particular, it sounds like Breeze has Triple H to thank.

Previously, Breeze had been making his way to the ring with a mirror in hand, in keeping with whole supermodel vibe. But once Triple H got eyes on the gimmick, he came up with the idea of replacing the mirror with something a little more contemporary.

Instead, Breeze would come out with an iPhone in hand, playing on the more present-day selfie phenomenon by snapping away as he strutted down the ramp. That of course enabled the production guys to start having fun with linking the iPhone feed to the big screen, before the look was capped off with a shockingly garish selfie stick, which somehow led to this bizarre moment with Jushin “Thunder” Liger, of all people.
