6. Tyler Breeze Was Almost Fired

While Fandango almost quit the business of his own accord during his early years, Tyler Breeze nearly suffered a similar fate during his time in WWE. Though in this case, Breeze didn’t have quite as much choice in the matter.

Breeze recalled an evaluation in which he was flat-out told that he was on the verge of being let go by the company. This was back during his days as Mike Dalton—the blonde, tanned, generic babyface who was just about as vanilla as they come—and so clearly it was time to shake things up a little.

Following the evaluation, and with the help of Xavier Woods, Breeze filmed some vignettes for a bunch of gimmicks he’d brainstormed, one of which gave way to the Tyler Breeze persona.

After sharing the vignettes with some higher-ups backstage, it was Dusty Rhodes who specifically said that Breeze “might have something here” with the supermodel shtick.

Unsurprisingly, he wasn’t wrong.
