11 Things We Learned From Shawn Michaels On The Ross Report

4. Casual Fans vs. Hardcore Fans

After some discussion involving the business aspect of wrestling, the two delve into talk of how numbers impact the direction of the company. Shawn then says that:
"There are a lot of numbers that most people don't see, and there's also a lot of fans that you don't hear from because I think...the business...the difference between it thriving and not thriving is based on that casual fan. Not the hardcore fan. And I don't mean that to sound like I'm disrespecting the one. But what I'm saying is the other one essentially is almost always going to be there. It's getting more of those fringe people that aren't always there. And that's who you need to get to tip the scales into drawing money."
This is a sad truth and the main reason why the most passionate voices of the fan base continue to be ignored, because WWE takes them for granted and expects them to always be there.
