11 Things We Learned From Ultimate Warrior's Wife On Talk Is Jericho

6. The Self-Destruction DVD

Chris talks about the infamous smear campaign DVD that WWE put on Warrior - one that he was in - and said that was during a time when the company had a lot of animosity, with plans to also do one on Bret Hart and possible Randy Savage. He asks Dana what his reaction to it was. She replies that it broke his heart, admitting that it hurt his feelings. She says he's glad that he confessed that because she doesn't feel like she has to protect that, but it broke a piece of him that, unlike other things in his life she was unable to fix. She calls it a categorical attack on who he was as a human being and just flat out says it wasn't nice. She says that "Hell no" her husband wasn't perfect but his core as a man was so good. She says no one wants to be caught on their worst days and have people pretend that that's who they are as a person. Dana says there was a lot of animosity and anger from both sides, and says that although WWE obviously had the money and the power to do that DVD she really wishes they wouldn't have. She ends by calling it just a chapter in the story which details the conflict and thankfully they moved past that to the resolution.
