11 Things We Learnt From 'Being The Elite' So Far

4. Kenny Enjoys The Japanese Culture

Kenny Omega immerses himself in the Japanese culture, speaking the language fluently and taking time out to teach the Bucks some dinner etiquette. He spends a large part of his time over there, and seems to soak up the culture at any given opportunity, learning how to get around by himself. Meanwhile, the Bucks find comfort in the sight of the "golden arches" of McDonald's, and enjoy any chance to partake in western culture (i.e. eating at Sizzler).

Being away from home so often, the Elite have to find things to distract themselves and make the most of their time away. As much as he enjoys being in Japan, Kenny admits he was "born ready to go home", and understandably so given his hectic schedule. Seeing this side of the Elite offers a sense of admiration - They're just a few guys chasing their dream around the world, but always staying humble and missing home.

Kenny relies on his love of gaming to get him through the more lonesome times, packing his PS4 and beloved Street Fighter 5 with him on his travels. This love is something he and the Bucks use to their advantage in adding a unique character dimension to the Elite. Their quirky caricatures, on and off stage, are what make them so entertaining, and consequentially successful.
