11 Things You Might Have Missed From WWE Fastlane 2016
2. When It Reigns, It Pours
Admittedly, this one was a bit hard to miss, but given the sheer insanity of the main event, it's possible the crowd reaction was misleading. If you didn't catch it, though, make no mistake - the fans did not want Roman Reigns to win. Just like at the Royal Rumble, the fans were against Reigns on the road to WrestleMania. Brock Lesnar was a huge favorite, with his suplexes getting the typical hearty reactions from the crowd, and Dean Ambrose was also beloved - the Cleveland fans did the "yay/boo" reaction when he and Reigns went toe to toe. The fact that WWE chose to put over the only guy fans didn't care for shows how stubborn and out of touch the company continues to be. With nothing standing between Reigns and Triple H for the next six weeks, it will be interesting to see how the WWE Universe reacts to the new number one contender. After all, if Reigns is rejected, the company doesn't have the same options it did last year. Whatever happens, expect WrestleMania's main event to be very interesting. The reaction, I mean. The match probably won't be particularly good.
