11 Things You Might Have Missed From WWE Fastlane 2016
8. A Change Of Heart?
For months, it's been rumored that big things are in store for The Wyatt Family's giant, Braun Strowman. Never mind the fact that the guy is completely in over his head competing in matches, let alone doing it on national TV - he's huge and he's strong. Originally, it was believed that Strowman was being groomed for a WrestleMania showdown with The Undertaker, and he was protected like it - it was months before the giant was even taken off his feet. While The Undertaker match fizzled out, there have recently been rumors that Strowman is penciled in to win the WrestleMania battle royal, then feud with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar later in the year. At Fastlane, it looked like plans may have been changing. The Wyatt Family took on Big Show, Kane, and Ryback in a match where many expected Strowman to pick up a huge win. Instead, The Big Show threw Strowman out of the ring, then hit him with a mammoth spear. On the inside, Ryback hit Luke Harper with the Shell Shock, then pinned him. Has Strowman lost favor with management? JBL's comparing the titanic superstar to "a cross between Jeep Swenson and Bill Kazmaier" may have been a backhanded compliment.
