11 Times WWE Titles Changed Hands At Non-Televised Live Events
4. Women's Championship - Mickie James Def. Victoria & Melina (c) (Then Meline Def. Mickie) (April 24 2007)
It's hard to imagine that a title is going to change hands on any house show, but a European house show? And twice? Such occurrences are very, very rare but the most noteworthy example has to be the Women's Championship situation from the April 24th, 2007 live event in Paris, France.
Mickie James captured the title in a triple threat match after pinning Victoria with a hurricanrana. Fan-shot footage of the match shows the complete surprise of the crowd, who tentatively count along with 'three' before popping.
Later in the show, however, former champ Melina came out and demanded that she receive a rematch since she had not been pinned in the match and thus 'never really lost' the title. Despite the fact that this logic barely ever works, The Coach was running the show that match and he granted Melina an immediate rematch.
Melina won the rematch, recapturing the title and making Mickie's reign the shortest in history.
