1. Shawn Spears Shows Ass

While not the most exciting pairing on paper and booked at the last minute, Shawn Spears vs. Dustin Rhodes at least made sense. ‘The Chairman’ is still obsessed with Cody, who has now felled him twice, so he went after ‘The American Nightmare’s’ uber sympathetic older brother to get at him. Straightforward enough, though it could’ve used more build: what was stopping Spears from shooting his shot weeks ago?

The quality of this match, apparently.

This was no good. Preceded by a cocky Spears coming out in a suit (he assumed Dustin wouldn't show) then pulling a fake entrance music stunt before the track hit again and Rhodes really appeared, we got a good, fired-up babyface performance and little else. The first few minutes of wrestling were hot. After that? An unfunny farce. Dustin stripped Spears down to his boxer shorts, bared his ass, and slapped it. Shawn had Tully Blanchard's face on his d*ck because reasons and scurried about like an embarrassed villain in a children's' cartoon after having his dignity shed, leading to the L.

It's now clear, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Spears is the same prelim guy he was in WWE. A nice win for Dustin, at least...
