11 Ups & 1 Down From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Oct 30)

10. Humbled Charlotte Flair

Though it doesn't look like WWE will move away from babyface Charlotte Flair anytime soon, last night presented her in an unfamiliar light. Defeated, battered, and bruised at Evolution, the former SmackDown Women's Champion was all smiles to start, but her trademark confidence and swagger nowhere to be found by the end, even after Paige paid tribute to her pay-per-view performance.

This led to the General Manager asking Flair to captain the brand's Survivor Series team. Charlotte's response? "I don't think I'm the right woman for the job."

It was a short, simple segment, but this is exactly the kind of material WWE needs to produce if they're ever going to shake the idea that wins and losses don't matter. Charlotte looked upset when confronted with her defeat. Falling to Becky had clearly taken a toll, and if more wrestlers reacted to their own failings in such a way, everything this promotion does would carry more weight.
