2. Hot Trios Action Elevated By PAC/Omega Issues

Wrestling fans who aren't into AEW's fast-paced, all-action house style may have handwaved last night's fabulous trios main event pitting The Elite against PAC and the Lucha Brothers, though they'd have missed an outstanding bout elevated by the ongoing issues between 'The Bastard' and Kenny Omega.

Their interactions were heated and hard-hitting, showing that these guys still hate each other. At 1-1 in singles bouts, their issues remain unresolved, and everything they threw at each other came with a nasty uncurrent. Of course, the match had all the usual highlight-reel moments, but the PAC/Omega appeal brought differentiation, and PAC, in defeat, looked great.

The Englishman almost had 'The Best Bout Machine' beaten on a couple of different occasions. At one point, both Bucks had to bail their buddy out following the Black Arrow. Their cohesion provided a nice contrast with Hangman Page on commentary and Omega scoring the decisive pinfall was the right move as well, boosting his own stalling momentum as we head into 2020.

AEW do this kind of match better than any other major wrestling company. Yes, steps need to be taken to ensure their big spots aren't repeated elsewhere on the card, but when they deliver, they're an awesome sugar rush. This was the case last night.
