Following yesterday's news that Tessa Blanchard had departed TNA, now comes word that Tommy Dreamer is the latest name to exit the Anthem outfit.

Dreamer revealed this news on Busted Open Radio, detailing that he had a conversation with TNA President Carlos Silva where it was mutually decided for the two parties to go their separate ways. As well as having an on-screen presence, the Innovator of Violence had been working for TNA in a backstage capacity since 2018, most recently serving as the company's Head of Creative and Talent Relations.

Many TNA stars have taken to social media to share their gratitude and well wishes for Tommy.

After Tommy Dreamer announced his TNA exit, Fightful Select reported that certain TNA sources were already aware that Dreamer would be leaving the company, but that this departure was expected to happen after the Slammiversary PPV that's coming up on June 28th.

Regarding a replacement for Tommy, Fightful has heard from industry sources that Brian 'Road Dogg' James has been discussed within TNA as potentially taking over from Dreamer. On that topic, speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez said that some people in TNA were under the impression that Road Dogg would be joining the company to work alongside Tommy Dreamer, and so there was some shock that he's now instead being touted to replace Tommy Dreamer. The D-O-Double-G had been working on the WWE creative team until this past April, when he quit due to wanting to spend more time with his family.

Fightful also adds that Delirious, aka Hunter Johnston, is remaining with TNA and will continue in his role on the creative team.

As alluded to in the above Trey Miguel X post, former TNA World Champion Sami Callihan is another who's left TNA this week (more on that elsewhere), with Sami having worked in a backstage role for the promotion in recent years.

It's been quite the crazy few weeks when it comes to TNA. Earlier this month brought the news that Myla Grace and Steve Maclin had requested and been granted their TNA releases, which was followed this week by the news that Tessa Blanchard had done the same. Added to that, April saw the incredibly talented Dani Luna likewise be granted her release. Then there are the plentiful rumblings that current TNA World Champion Mike Santana and former X Division Champion Leon Slater have plenty of outside interest and could well choose to leave TNA when their existing contracts expire this summer.
