11 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Jan 1)

9. Taz Is Very Good

Taz Jim Ross Excalibur
AEW

Taz filled in for the absent Tony Schiavone on last night's Dynamite, reminding viewers that he is a very, very good wrestling announcer when motivated.

If this and his recent Dark appearance were part of an extended job interview, one can only imagine that Taz's contract is in the post. Energised, engaged, and interested, he brings a different voice, a different energy, and a different kind of enthusiasm to proceedings, and while not necessarily any better or worse than Schiavone, Jim Ross, and Excalibur, he helps compliment the product in his own way.

Taz would be a smart full-time pickup for AEW. He has shown more than enough in his fleeting appearances to prove that.
