11 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2020

4. X Division Xtravaganza

Whoever chose to open the main Bound For Glory card with the X Division Championship Scramble Match deserves a raise, as it exceeded expectations. Rohit Raju, Chris Bey, Trey Miguel, Willie Mack, TJP, and Jordynne Grace knocked the ball clean out of the park in a match that got the time it deserved.

What was rather unique about this Scramble Match, though, is that there were few moments where it was straight up one on one action, as is typically the case. Instead, a good chunk of the match was spent with at least three of the combatants going at it. Undoubtedly the most impressive spot of the bout came when Bey dropkicked Miguel off of TJP's shoulders while he stood on the ring apron, sending 'The Fresh Prince of Mid-Air' onto everyone else at ringside.

It's also important to stress that Jordynne was treated exactly the same as her male counterparts throughout the contest, something we didn't see this past Tuesday towards Alisha Edwards. Granted, Jordynne and Alisha are vastly different wrestlers, but it's still an important note. 'Thicc Mama Pump' was on fire from start to finish, even coming close to winning the title off of a Grace Driver, had it not been for that vicious knee to the jaw from the defending champion.

Surprisingly, 'The Desi Hitman' managed to scarper towards a retention of his title to end a phenomenal contest, albeit by stealing TJP's pin off of a Mamba Splash on Miguel. Now that he's seen off his top five challengers, who knows what awaits the former Desi Hit Squad member going forward?
