A f*cking fabulous segment filled the middle first hour as The Undisputed Era set up a main event for later in the show as well as planting more seeds for a huge December 18th show that'd blossom by the end of the night.

Adam Cole, Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly were in p*ss funny form here, magnifying their traits of thinking they're the coolest guys in the room without actually being them. That honour falls to Keith Lee, who talked down their self-serving hyperbole and unofficially inserted himself into NXT's loaded topline.

A brawl ensued that triggered a Tommaso Ciampa save, keeping him within literal touching distance of his much-desired "Goldie" after the heels scarpered.

This was excellent, strike-while-the-iron's-hot booking. The iron being Lee, of course. Right now, he's got the lot, and as events later in the show suggested, NXT may be brave enough to ice their other two top challengers to let him enjoy it,
