11 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Oct 9)

Downs...

5. Jake Hagar

Jake Hager

Chris Jericho calling Hangman Page "The Hang Man" at Fight for the Fallen worked. It came off like the future AEW Champion was deliberately getting his All Out opponent's name wrong as an in-character burial, as if he had so little regard for Page that he didn't even know his proper ring name. That worked.

Jericho calling stablemate Jake Hager "Jake Hagar", however? Not a good look. At all.

The AEW Champion should, at the very least, be able to get his Inner Circle buddy's name right. Hager made a massive impact to close last week's Dynamite and is now tied to Jericho's hip. If this is an in-character thing, it doesn't make any sense, and if Chris is just straight-up making a mistake, it's a really bad look.

A nitpick? Perhaps, but little things like this matter.
