So after bashing the manner in which Ronda Rousey debuted, let’s be clear that her addition to the roster, especially as a full-time superstar, is a huge deal for WWE.

Rousey has not been shy about how big of a wrestling fan she is, right down to her “Rowdy” nickname and MMA Four Horsewomen group. She very clearly was happy to be at the Royal Rumble Sunday night, and when she spoke about the experience afterward, it was obvious that she wants to do this right and for the right reasons (not just a paycheck).

So while her debut itself might get a lot of (deserved) criticism, it should not negatively color the fact she’s joining WWE.
