11 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Were In TNA

10. Dusty Rhodes

That's right Daddy o'! Dusty Rhodes used to be funky like a monkey down in TNA! From January 2003 to September 2004, Dusty Rhodes competed in 18 TNA matches when the company was running weekly pay-per-views. Among the legend€™s opponents were manager Scott D€™amore, Vince Russo and The Disco Inferno. A few worthy adversaries you could say. As the company grew and moved to Fox Sports Network, Dusty transitioned into an on-air authority figure and became the Director of Operations, as well as the head booker behind the scenes. A feud then commenced between Trinity and Traci Brooks over who got to be his personal assistant. Yeah, it€™s not like the booking power went to his head or anything. The authority role was lame and embarrassing, as he conducted his business out of the back of his pickup truck on some hay-bales. It looked low rent, and even Kevin Nash (who was competing for the company at the time) expressed his displeasure with how ridiculous it looked in an interview with The Torch in 2005. Rhodes lasted about six months in the role before he was removed as head booker. After that, he drove his pick-up off into the sunset and returned to WWE where he has remained employed in some form ever since.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
