11 Wrestling Legends Who Became WWE NXT Trainers

4. Matt Bloom

NXT Trainers
WWE

Matt Bloom, aka A-Train, aka Albert, aka Tensai (aka, the one with the really hairy back) has been working behind the scenes at NXT for the last three years after hanging up his boots at the end of 2013.

It's a little unfair to define Bloom by his US run, though, because arguably his best work came in New Japan, where he went under the name "Giant Bernard" for five years.

Apart from as another Royal Rumble obstacle for Kofi Kingston to mount in his never-ending mission to avoid touching the lava floor, WWE found little use for him when they lured him back Stateside in 2012.

But clearly his coaching ability is a little more valued: he was appointed head NXT trainer following the departure of Bill DeMott a couple of years ago.
