On a similar level to the superior Beyond The Mat, Tim Disbrows documentary follows several subjects around their careers on the independent wrestling scene in America. Its an unsanitised look at the underbelly of the supposedly glamorous world of pro wrestling: World Wrestling Entertainment, this aint. Featuring interview footage with Jim Cornette, Kevin Sullivan, Sensational Sherri Martel, Dylan Necro Butcher Summers, James Kamala Harris and William Paul Bearer Moody amongst many others, this is fairly grim and harrowing stuff if you actually like professional wrestling as an entertainment product and as an industry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvJxhrwqpSw At least two of the people interviewed for the programme, Sherri Martel and Michael Trent Acid Verdi, overdosed and died shortly after filming. The films title, of course, comes from the caveat at the bottom of almost all wrestling bills, indicating that should unforeseen circumstances mean that someones unable to compete, the promoter will replace them without notice. Now, thats barely even a metaphor for the life and sometimes death of a professional wrestler
