In the months leading up to WrestleMania XXX, Brie Bella was oddly absent from her husband's side as his feud with The Authority swelled to huge proportions. It would have been one thing if WWE - in storylines - didn't acknowledge that Bryan and Brie were engaged, but they did and the storylines pretty much made Brie look like the worst fiance ever as Stephanie McMahon took great pleasure in humiliating the former WWE Champion repeatedly, standing beside her own husband Triple H. Currently, Brie has taken a much larger role in her husband's feud with The Authority, quitting in protest while also slapping Stephanie in front of a capacity crowd and constantly calling her a "bitch" to her face. This may very well lead to an actual match between the former Divas Champion and former Women's Champion, making this the only match on the countdown that's still viable ... ... However, on the Road to WrestleMania, it would have added something different to the overall Authority/D-Bry storyline had Brie and Stephanie taken part in a match of some sort; even if said match devolved into nothing more than a catfight that ended in a no-contest. The storyline itself makes Stephanie and Triple H. look like massively incompetent villains when you take into consideration that it took them this long to finally involve Brie by threatening her job in order to get what they wanted from Daniel Bryan (i.e. his obedience).
