11 WWE Wrestlers With Multiple 5 Star Matches
1. Ric Flair
Stop me if you've heard this one: Ric Flair is arguably the greatest of all time.
Now that's nothing new, since it's a narrative pushed by WWE time and time again because Triple H is his biggest fanboy. However, it needs to be appreciated that, in his prime, Ric Flair was a 5 star match machine. From technical masterpieces with Ricky Steamboat and huge War Games matches, to wild brawls with Terry Funk, Ric Flair earned the 5 star honor up and down the food chain. Whether it was on PPV, TBS, or even at a house show once, Big Daddy Dave just couldn't help but give the Nature Boy 5 stars.
What's especially impressive about Ric's accomplishments are the series of 5 star matches he had with certain guys. Obviously, most people know about his legendary run of matches with Ricky Steamboat, which is compared to the modern-day equivalent of Okada and Omega, but how many of you knew Ric had multiple 5 star matches with Barry Windham? Seriously. When was the last time you thought about Barry Windham?
Quite simply: you may not think Ric Flair is the absolute greatest, but it's a good guess Meltzer does.
