11 WWE Wrestlers With Multiple 5 Star Matches

3. Ricky Steamboat

It's easy to rattle off a list of truly great heels, but truly great babyface workers are harder to come by. It cannot be disputed, however, that Ricky Steamboat should absolutely be on everyone's Mt. Rushmore of babyfaces.

Obviously, WWE fans are aware of the classic Steamboat and Randy Savage put on at WrestleMania III. However, that did not earn the illustrious 5 star rating. To break that threshold, Ricky had to leave the company and feud with none other than Ric Flair.

The Flair-Steamboat series of the late '80s is seen by many as the greatest in-ring rivalry of all time. These two put on technical and storytelling classics on PPV, television, and even once at a house show in Maryland. Yes, a house show match got 5 stars from Meltzer. That's how good this rivalry was.

So while it's unfortunate that Ricky had his best matches outside of WWE, it's only right that the company still celebrates him today for his achievements. The Dragon most certainly deserves it.
