12 Actors Who Could Totally Play WWE Superstars In Movies

9. Ian Anthony Dale As Ricky Steamboat

If someone's going to take on the role of Ricky Steamboat, they'd better have the athleticism to make the wrestling scenes look legitimate. Of all the wrestlers on this list, Steamboat's stand-in is the one that can't rely on stunt doubles or camera trickery to get his in-ring prominence across.

The highlight of this movie would of course be his match at Wrestlemania III against Randy Savage, though his work in NWA with Ric Flair would be enthralling to see captured on the big screen, with some sort of lengthy montage featuring the highlights of their various 60-minute epics.

Luckily, Ian Anthony Dale already has some screen-fighting experience, playing Kazuya Mishima in Tekken and Scorpion in the Mortal Kombat: Legacy web series.

The other key to casting an actor to play The Dragon is in finding someone who's not too charismatic. There are certain actors who just ooze that stuff regardless of their character, which doesn't exactly fit Ricky Steamboat, who always had a little bit of trouble on the mic. Dale could constrain himself enough to get that perfect amount of self-consciousness.
