Remember when Charlotte Flair was a long-reigning women’s champion and Sasha Banks was still in search of her first WWE title and not a three-time champ?

During the summer of 2016, Banks and Flair reignited their rivalry from NXT and began trading the WWE/Raw Women’s Championship back and forth throughout the second half of the year. Depending on your perspective, it was either a great program showcasing a strong rivalry between two evenly matched wrestlers, or a frustrating, never-ending hot potato of the Raw Women’s Championship.

Still, Banks and Flair had a series of good-to-great matches, and SummerSlam was no exception. Charlotte regained her title, only to lose it back to Sasha, then won it again, then lost it again, before winning it back once more.
