The Elite’s Villain managed to best fourteen other superstars at last month’s Survival of the Fittest tournament to secure a future shot at the ROH World Championship. On Friday, Scurll put that shot on the line against ROH’s supreme veteran, SoCal Uncensored's Christopher Daniels. Unfortunately for CD, his ROH career was on the line, as he would be forced to leave the company if he lost. However, if he could defeat Scurll then he could find himself back in the World Title hunt.

The match started slow but quickly picked up with a moonsault to the floor by Daniels and a jarring half-nelson suplex by Scurll in retaliation. The Villain then returned to his usual wheelhouse, snapping Daniels’ fingers before the SCU member responded with an Angel’s Wings for two. Scurll fired back, stomping on Daniels’ neck -- which has continually ailed him for years -- before slapping on his signature Crossface Chickenwing to get the submission victory.

The Villain, who will remain under contract with ROH until the middle of next year, gave some insight into his plans for 2019 by night's end. Meanwhile, Daniels would be forced to walk away from the company due to his loss - though, by Saturday night, plan's had seemingly changed.
