12 Bizarre WWE Brand Split Gimmick Changes

10. Simon Dean/Nova

Simon Dean

Simon Dean joined the wrestling world through a series of infomercials. He told us we were fat and unhealthy. All we needed to do was take his Simon System, and our lives would completely turn around. To show how effective his product was, he decided to join WWE and try to beat people up. It was an odd sales tactic to say the least.

A few months into his run he was drafted over to SmackDown, and suddenly developed a split personality. Half the time we saw him, he was Dean the fitness supplements huckster, the other half of the time he was Nova from the Blue World Order.

The B.W.O. reunion was only a short time deal, but shifting to the blue brand caused him to be an entirely different person. Luckily, he did eventually find himself, and again went back to being Simon Dean. Sadly his Simon System didn't help him much, as he proceeded to lose 99% of his matches.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
